IT & Systems Setup (SSO)

  • Personal device approval
  • Access to all systems confirmed

Essential Policies (Self-directed with SSW as contact)

  • Safeguarding policies (children and vulnerable adults)
  • Health & Safety policy
  • Devices and IT policy
  • Complaints policy
  • Absence booking and expenses processes

Foundation Video Series (SSO coordinates, self-paced)

  1. Person-Centred Approach at Handcrafted (15 mins)
  2. Safeguarding Overview (20 mins)
  3. Confidentiality and Disclosure (15 mins)
  4. Risk Assessment Basics (20 mins)
  5. Lone Working Safety (15 mins)

First Online Course (SSO assigns)

  • NCSC Cyber Security Training

Familiarisation (CEO/Line Manager)

  • Overview of organisation and structure
  • Job description and role expectations clarified
  • Working hours confirmed

FIRST MONTH

Compliance Online Training (SSO assigns/tracks)

BY END OF PROBATION (Usually 6 months)

Mandatory Completions:

  • First Aid Training (in-person, coordinated by RH)
  • Health surveillance check (workshop roles only)
  • First PDR completed with development plan
  • External support person established (support roles)
  • Confirmation of competencies achieved
